Kate Bohan

Kate Bohan is an award-winning Chinese-American writer, director, and producer who received her BFA from the Chinese Broadcasting University of Journalism. Moving to Los Angeles from China in 1998 with her family . Bohan dedicated herself to studying film in hopes of transforming her dream into reality. Her earliest passion was to study film in AFI . - In 2018, she wrote and directed and produced feature film "Kayla" which received multiple awards from a number of prestigious film festivals and gained national recognition for her outstanding screenwriting and directing skills. She has worked with Joe Estevez for this project. In 2020, she wrote, directed, and produced her second feature film, "Harper", which has just completed a successful theatrical run in Los Angeles, thus qualifying it for the 94th Academy Awards in 2022. "Harper" won a Gold Remi Award just this past year in the 55th Houston International Film Festival in 2022 and was also a Semi-Finalist in the Flicker Rhode Island International Film Festival 2022. Since its global release in Summer 2022, "Harper" has been a resounding success.
